What changed

• On Windows and Linux, closing the window now quits the app. It used to hide to the notification area, which reads as an app that will not close — nothing in the taskbar, no window, and a tray icon you may not have noticed still holding your vault. On a Mac closing still hides to the menu bar, because that is what an app is expected to do there. Either way your work is saved first.
• The menu-bar icon is free again. Showing an icon is chrome, not a capability, and gating it made the free app look broken rather than limited — worse on a Mac, where the menu bar is the way back to a window you closed. Quick capture itself is still part of Pro.

Ampersand updates itself in place, so you are probably already on a newer build than this one. If you are installing fresh, the download page always has the current release for macOS, Windows and Linux.
