A block editor that
gets out of your way.

Write in rich, rearrangeable blocks with the speed of a native app — and never leave plain markdown. Slash commands, drag-and-drop, spreadsheet tables, and links between notes, all over files that are simply yours.

What you get

Serious editing,
quiet everywhere else

Every tool a long document needs, tucked away until the moment you reach for it.

Slash commands

Type / to drop in a heading, list, table, callout, code block, or any smart block — without lifting your hands off the keyboard.

Drag any block

Grab the handle in the gutter to reorder blocks and list items, Notion-style. Duplicate, move, and color from the same menu.

Tables that calculate

Real spreadsheet cells with =SUM, =AVG, ranges, and units. Resize, reorder, and summarize columns inline.

Wiki-links & backlinks

Type [[ to link between notes and see everything pointing back at the current one in the backlinks panel.

Find & replace

Highlight every match in the open document with regex, whole-word, and case options — or search the whole vault.

Writing modes

Focus dims everything but the current line, Typewriter keeps your caret centered, and Zen clears the chrome away.

Plain files

What you write is
what gets saved

No proprietary database, no lock-in. Each note is a real .md file with optional YAML frontmatter, sitting in a folder you chose. Open it in any other editor, sync it however you like, and read it in twenty years.
  • Standard markdown on disk
  • Optional YAML frontmatter
  • Works in any synced folder
Everything is a block

Build a page from
the pieces you need

Drop in the right block with a slash, then drag it anywhere. From a simple checklist to a live chart or an equation, it all lives in the same document — and it all serializes back to markdown.

  • Headings, lists, quotes & task lists
  • Toggles and multi-column layouts
  • Callouts, code blocks & dividers
  • Images with resize and alignment
  • File attachments, media & bookmarks
  • Math, diagrams, charts & live calc

Toggles & columns

Collapse detail behind a toggle or split the page into columns.

Task lists

Check off work inline; it round-trips as GitHub-style markdown.

Inline affordances

Emoji, @mentions, dates, colored text, and highlights as you type.

Never lose a draft

Every save is versioned, and a crash-safe journal keeps your work.

Questions

Good to know

Is it a WYSIWYG editor or do I write raw markdown?

Both, at once. You edit rich blocks — headings, tables, callouts — but everything is saved as plain .md. There is no separate preview pane to toggle; what you see is what the file becomes.

What is the editor built on?

A native macOS app built with Rust and Tauri, with a block editor on top of TipTap and ProseMirror. It opens instantly and stays fast in documents thousands of lines long.

Will my markdown stay clean?

Yes. Ampersand round-trips to standard markdown, using small, documented HTML extensions only where markdown has no native syntax (toggles, columns, colored text). A plain-markdown reader still sees your content.

Can I use it entirely from the keyboard?

Almost entirely. Slash commands insert blocks, a command palette (Cmd+K) runs any action, and every shortcut is remappable. There is a searchable cheat sheet on Cmd+/.
